Maintenance: The lambskin is very durable and wear-resistant and usually requires no special maintenance. If the wool becomes a bit flat on top, it can be brushed up with a stiff brush. The skin can be washed, but it should not remain too wet for too long. If the sheep has a stain on the coat, you can "wash" it with wool soap or mild soap and then dry it with a towel. You don't have to worry about soap residues on the coat, as this actually protects the hairs.
The wood can be wiped with a damp cloth, and after several years of use, it can be refreshed with some wood oil.

Povl Kjer spent many years as a sculptor and artist creating sculpture and portraits out of wood. In 1981 he made the first Rocking Sheep for his niece as a humorous reminder of her country roots. Over time it has become a Danish Design classic sold all over the world. It is connected to Scandinavian style because of its clean design and pure materials.
