DAMAGED PRODUCTS

Please do not accept any damaged packages. Please inspect the packaging upon receipt. If your purchase arrived with a visibly damaged box or packaging, it is advised that you refuse the shipment. If you decide to accept the merchandise that appears to be damaged, please indicate the condition next to your signature when accepting the delivery. Please notify the shipper of any damages immediately and be certain to retain all original packaging. Claims will require digital photos. Maude Kids Decor is unable to pursue a claim without refusal of the shipment due to damage, or without recording details of transit damage on the delivery receipt. Please follow the instructions below.

Please inspect the products upon receipt.

  1. Any visible damage to the packaging must be reported on the carrier's Bill of Lading.
  2. Report any damage to the actual product(s) with picture of both product and its packaging (including box and label) to hello@maudekids.com. Please include your order number in the subject of the email. Damages must be reported to Maude Kids Decor within 48 hours of delivery for any claim to be processed.
  3. Please keep all original packaging.
We will gladly replace defective or missing parts at no additional charge if notified of the problem within 14 days of receipt of the product(s).

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

We hope you love everything you order, but in case you don’t, not to worry.

Non-sale merchandise in new and unused condition may be returned within 14 days of receipt for a refund of the purchase price excluding shipping and handling costs. The customer must pay the cost of returned shipping unless the item arrives broken or defective. 

Prior to returning any items, you must notify Maude Kids Decor before attempting a return - unsolicited returns will not be accepted. If you need to make a return or exchange, please contact us at hello@maudekids.com within 14 days of delivery of your purchase. Please explain whether you would like to exchange an item for another one or if you would prefer a refund. The refund does not include the shipping portion - if applicable. It is limited to the purchase price of the item, including taxes. Please send your return within 10 days of receiving authorization of the return from Maude Kids Decor. Shipping a return item is at the customer's expense.

Pack items carefully in a box suitable for shipping, with appropriate protective packaging if applicable. Items returned with damaged display boxes will be subject to a 20% restocking fee (see below).

Consider insuring your package in case it is lost or damaged in transit. Maude Kids Decor cannot be responsible for items that do not arrive at Maude Kids Decor.

All gift returns may be for credit only; no refunds are available.

Your refund will be processed the same way your purchase was made within 5 days of receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise. Please allow 3-5 working days for your refund to appear on your credit card.

No refunds or exchanges on:

  • Special Orders, which are final sale (this includes most of our furniture + all other items that are listed with an extended shipping time, i.e. 2-4 weeks; 4-6 weeks etc.)
  • All sale and clearance items are final.
  • Bedding, plates, cups, bowls, cutlery, teethers, pacifiers, rugs and diaper/changing bags and pads cannot be returned for sanitary reasons.
  • All new and unused products returned in an opened or missing box is subject to a 20% restocking fee. This does not apply to Special Orders, which are final sale.
  • Items not marked damaged to driver upon delivery of goods.

Maude Kids Decor will not accept any return:

  • without prior contact to Maude Kids Decor and authorization of the return
  • sent COD
  • if the item is not in its original condition and packaging

Customers are fully responsible for their own measurements. It is not the responsibility of Maude Kids Decor to ensure that any furniture will fit through doorways, hallways, staircases and in rooms.

Any furniture purchase (see "Special Orders" above) cannot be returned or exchanged - unless damaged. We will replace any damaged item.

CANCELLED ORDERS

A customer may request cancellation of an order that has not yet been packed and shipped, however a cancelled order will incur a 5% hold back fee, as we incur transaction fees as soon as an order is placed, and we are not refunded these fees if an order is cancelled. Special Orders cannot be cancelled once placed with the supplier.

PRICE MATCHING

We do not price match sales pricing at the brand or other shops, we strive to price our products competitively, fairly and in accordance with the manufacturer's suggested retail price. As a small shop, we are not able to offer lowest price guarantees or price matching.
